About the Author
G.A. Everett
I didn’t always want to be a writer.
Growing up, my dream was to be the guitarist and singer in a punk rock band. Unfortunately, I was terrible at guitar and couldn’t sing to save my life.
What I could do was read.
Books became my escape, much like music, film, and theatre. Through them, I could step away from everyday life and disappear into other worlds. I could go on adventures, uncover crimes, slay dragons, or fall in love, if only for a moment.
I also share occasional behind-the-scenes notes about my stories with readers in my Reader Circle, but more on that later.
After devouring every book I could find, I eventually went on to study English Literature at university. That’s where my love of storytelling truly took hold. Later, I built a career in communications within the technology industry, where writing remained a constant part of the job.
But during my degree I’d been bitten by the writing bug, and it never really let go.
It took a while to finish my first novel, but eventually I got there. The second followed soon after. These days, I spend my time writing the kinds of stories I love to read.
I write fantasy and science fiction that explores the moral complexity of flawed characters trying to survive in broken worlds. My stories combine high-stakes adventure with deeply human dilemmas — the kind of choices where there are no easy answers and no perfect heroes.
If you enjoy gritty futuristic thrillers, my Disconnected series plunges readers into a world of artificial intelligence, corruption, and rebellion.
If you prefer swords, sorcery, and dangerous loyalties, then my Queen of the Unworthy series might be more your style. It's a brutal fantasy world of battles, betrayals, and morally ambiguous characters.
And yes, I still listen to many of the same punk rock albums I loved in the late 1990s and early 2000s while writing.
Some things never change.
I look forward to welcoming you into my Reader Circle.
